First Fruit is a close-knit family of social enterprises, projects and hostels based in the London Borough of Newham. One of these is First Fruit Furniture Warehouse which recycles and re-sells office and household furniture.
In developing countries, where rubbish collection services are minimal and environmental awareness takes second place to basic survival, plastic bags are everywhere. Choking drains, choking animals, blighting already difficult lives. So Funky Junk decided to do something about it. Funky Junk was created with the dual aim of creating employment for the most disadvantaged people in developing countries, and helping to clean up their environment.

Ten Green Bottles takes used and empty glass bottles and transforms them into a variety of products, from building supplies to stained glass windows, from time capsules to jewellery.
FEAT Enterprises newest social enterprise is SpringBack, a bed and mattress recycling service working with four local authorities across Fife and Forth Valley. SpringBack collects bed parts destined for landfill and deconstructs them into their various components. It finds customers who will reprocess the components in new products including carpets.
