ClearlySo, Europe’s largest Social Business Angel Network, will celebrate Social Enterprise in all its forms in its annual Social Business Conferenceon 11th October. The theme for 2011 is ‘All Shapes & Sizes’, reflected in the diversity of the speaker line-up which boasts Kingfisher Chief Exec Ian Cheshire; Sir Torquil Norman, Founder of Camden’s Roundhouse Trust; former JP Morgan Head of Research Nick O’Donohoe, now Government Advisor to the Big Society Bank and Sinclair Beecham of Pret a Manger. International speakers include the CEOs of microfinance leaders babyloan (France), betterplace.org (Germany) and Bosnia (MiBospo).
This year will see the launch of the ClearlySo Social Business of the Year Live Award, where social entrepreneurs in the audience get a chance to pitch their business and walk away with a cash prize, all voted live on the day. The programme will also host leading experts addressing issues such as raising capital, building a team and financial management.
