We have gathered together a group of exciting presenters, experts in a number of areas relevant to the changing environment for social enterprise.

Mark Cook—Partner—Anthony Collins Solicitors Mark will be explaining the implications of the new social value bill and how organisations need to prepare to take advantage of this.

Jean Jarvis MBE—CEO—Shropshire Furniture Project Jean has recently been nominated for Social Entrepreneur of the Year and is going to share with us her experience in running a complicated social enterprise in the current climate.

Geof Cox—Freelance Consultant Geof is a very experienced advocate and developer within the social enterprise movement and he will be supporting organisations to understand how they might change and grow in this new environment.

This event is designed for any social enterprise – small, medium & large – that is competing for business and seeking to win contracts across the sectors. This event will provide social enterprises with the opportunity to:

  • explore the ways in which they can compete and win contracts and enter into supply chains
  • network with other social enterprises
  • ask those that are involved in procurement and commissioning what it is they are looking for
  • share best practice

Studio 306 Collective CIC Project Launch

Studio 306 Collective CIC offers a creative community space for disadvantaged individuals and people who are recovering from mental illness to empower them to develop skills with renewed confidence and motivate them to improve their mental health well being. Each event will aim to produce a clear action plan that will seek to ensure that social enterprise has a strong voice within NOMS and a clear way in which to engage.

NOMS want to encourage as much participation as possible from the sector and see this as just the start. We want diversity in size, focus and history – even if you are a new and developing enterprise, please get involved.
