Pack-IT, a Social Firm business based in Cardiff, Wales, has won an Award for Best Large Social Firm of the Year 2009. The Award is operated by Social Firms Europe CEFEC and was presented to Pack-IT on 11th September in Prague, Czech Republic.
The European Social Firm of the Year Award is an annual competition held by Social Firms Europe CEFEC in order to demonstrate excellence amongst Social Firm businesses in Europe, inspire and motivate others. It is sponsored by one of the previous winners of the Award: Specialisterne Social Firm in Denmark. In the 2009 round, there was an overall ‘European Social Firm of the Year’ winner, a German Social Firm called Di-Hako; Best Large Social Firm (>11 employees) which went to Pack-IT in Wales, and Best Small Social Firm (<10 employees) which was awarded to a Social Firm in the telemarketing sector called Telehandelshus in Denmark.
