Lippy People CIC is a member of Social Firms UK. We aim to make a difference within our communities by collaborating to provide ' voice and influence' opportunities for people who feel marginalised, disenfranchised or ignored. It uses collaborative filmmaking to achieve this aim. This collaborative approach is used as a vehicle to fulfil the following socially motivated goals: - To enable disadvantaged people to participate more fully in society. - To affect positive change in their lives through self-representation. - To provide opportunities for increased motivation, mental wellbeing, skills development, community cohesion and raising people's levels of self-belief and aspiration.
We seek to enable all stakeholders to represent themselves in the manner they intend by fully involving them in the production processes throughout. We have a strong focus on working in the criminal justice system, this includes working in prisons and with intervention agencies, particularly with women offenders and young people at risk of offending.
